Agassi is an energy based device treatment that delivers controlled energy to the skin in order to support vitality, even tone and texture quality. Because it works without peeling the skin surface, recovery is short and normal life resumes quickly. It is not applied to a single fixed protocol; the parameters are set according to the state of the skin on the day and the needs of the individual.
What it addresses
Skin does not always present with one clear problem. What people describe is often more general: the complexion looks tired, it does not catch the light as it used to, make up no longer sits the way it did, the face does not look rested. Behind that picture sit a build up of dead cells at the surface, slower circulation, sun related unevenness of tone and a gradual decline in texture quality, all at once. Agassi is considered for that overall look of fatigue rather than for one isolated issue.
Where it is planned
- The whole face, the most commonly treated area
- Neck and decolletage, at lower energy settings because the skin is thinner
- Forehead and temples
- Backs of the hands, where appropriate
Who it suits, and where care is needed
It is considered for people bothered by loss of vitality, dullness and uneven tone who have no clear need for surgery. It can also be planned for those preparing their skin ahead of an occasion or maintaining a regular skincare routine. On the other hand, active acne infection, eczema or open wounds in the area, active herpes, a recent peel or laser procedure, medicines that increase light sensitivity, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and certain chronic skin conditions are each reviewed separately. Suitability is decided through a medical assessment and the plan is built individually.
How the session proceeds
The session begins by assessing the skin as it is that day; hydration level, sensitivity and any active lesions are reviewed. Make up and surface residue are removed completely. The energy level is set according to skin type and area, with lower settings chosen for thin regions such as the neck and around the eyes. As the handpiece is moved across the planned areas in steady strokes, a warm and gentle sensation is felt. When the treatment is complete a soothing product, a moisturiser and sunscreen are applied.
When effects appear and how long they last
A sense of freshness and glow is usually noticed in the first days. Changes in texture quality progress more slowly and are assessed as sessions accumulate. For this reason Agassi is thought of within a maintenance routine at set intervals rather than as a one off treatment. How long the effect lasts depends on skin type, sun protection, sleep and eating patterns. Results vary from person to person.
Planning it alongside other treatments
Agassi is usually positioned within an overall skincare plan rather than used in isolation. If there is clear pigmentation, a light based treatment may suit better; if firmness is the priority, a heat based method may come first, with Agassi planned alongside them as a step that supports texture quality. Rather than crowding several treatments into the same period, a sequence that gives the skin time to recover is preferred. How that sequence is built depends on your skin type and your priority, and is decided at the examination. The products you use at home also need to fit the plan, so how a routine containing strong acids or retinol should be adjusted around sessions is discussed separately.
Aftercare
Most people return to daily life the same day. A brief, mild pinkness can occur and usually settles within a few hours. During this period generous moisturising, cleansing with non irritating products and a high factor sunscreen are advised. Retinol, strong acid based products and mechanical scrubs are postponed for the first days. Staying away from hot showers, saunas and intense exercise for a short while is also advised. A detailed aftercare plan is shared at the visit.
Points that are often confused
Agassi is not a filler or a volume treatment; if there is clear volume loss in the face, that is a separate topic. Nor should it be expected to lift advanced skin sagging, since firmness is a problem of a different layer addressed with heat based methods. Another common expectation is a dramatic change after a single session. With energy based treatments the skin's response is spread over time, and consistency matters more than the intensity of any one session.
